ABOUT
Dela Wilson is a visionary leader in social innovation known for inspiring bold transformation in organizations and communities. As the founder of axle impact studio, she leads a cutting-edge social innovation firm that blends management consulting, design research, and storytelling to drive meaningful impact at the intersection of business, culture, community and impact.
A powerful speaker, consultant and producer, she inspires leaders to embrace creativity and collaboration as tools for equitable change, making her a sought-after voice at global forums. She has traveled to over 20 countries and has been honored as a Social Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, 30 Under 30 for the Future of Venture Capital, and an “Innovator to Watch” by the United Negro College Fund.
Dela is a member of the Global Fellows Advisory Board of the Atlantic Institute, an Atlantic Fellow for Racial Equity, and a board member of the Islands Innovation Institute. She previously served as Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Journal of African American Public Policy, and held fellowships in inclusive innovation at Georgetown Law’s Tech Institute and Harvard University’s Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation. Dela holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, summa cum laude, from Spelman College, a Master of Public Administration from Harvard University, and Juris Doctorate from Georgetown Law. She calls Atlanta, GA home with long-term residency in the Delta Sky Club.
